The Dragonfly
I think these creatures are always pleasant to come across! At first you freak out because you think its a wasp, but then you see it's just a dragonfly =)
Here are some more fun facts about this insect!
The Dragonfly spends the majority of its life just beneath the water's surface, using extendable jaws to catch other invertebrates.
The larval stage of large dragonflies may last as long as five years!
When the dragonfly climbs up a reed and gets exposure to the air it causes the larva to begin breathing. It breaks out of it's larva, pumps it's wings, and off it goes!!
Dragonflies are valuable predators that eat mosquitoes and other small insects
Even though dragonflies possess 6 legs like any other insect, they are not capable of walking.
AROUND THE WORLD
Dragonflys are a seasonal symbol in Japan. It is associated with late summer and early autumn. Also, they are symbols of courage, strength, and happiness
As it symbolizes courage, boys are given the name of "Tombo", meaning dragonfly
A Romanian folk tale says that the dragonfly was once a horse possessed by the devil.
Swedish folklore holds that the devil uses dragonflies to weigh people's souls
The Southern United States term "snake doctor" refers to a belief that dragonflies follow snakes around and stitch them back together if they are injured

All about Perfumes!
All you want to know about smelling good ;)
Perfume is made from about 78% to 95% of specially denatured ethyl alcohol and a bit of essential oil.
The late 19th century was a time of advances in organic chemistry, and with it came the science of perfumes! By the 1960's ordinary people began to buy perfume in quantity!
Calvin Klein's 1985 "obsession" campaign was the first time that blatant erotic advertising led a scent (a heavy smell of vanilla) all the way to the top of the market~ Here are some more erotic and sensual perfume campaign ads courtesy of celebrities!

What you need to know when applying perfumes:
When you apply perfumes layering is key!
TIP #1: When layering always use the same fragrance ;) So try using a perfume's body wash, lotion, and spray! This way the smell lingers all over the body!
TIP #2: Never dab the wrists with perfume and rub together!! This crushes the scent~ let the perfume dry on the skin!
TIP# 3: Dab a little perfume on pulse points such as the folds in the crook of your elbow and back of knees, wrist, neck and cleavage!

Indian Weddings
I have never been fortunate enough to attend an indian wedding, but if i ever do im sure there as fun as they look!!
The jewelry, the dresses, the vibrant colors, and the dancing!!
Instead of a bachlorette party the women have a "mendhi" party whereby the women apply "henna" to their hands and feet.
The mehndi represents strength of love in the marriage so the bride wants it to fade as slowly as possible!
The wedding day begins before sunrise.
The couple is taken by 8-10 married women to a pond where they invite the goddess "Ganga" to the wedding! They then bring a pitcher of water from that pond to purify the bride and groom.
Indian brides wear a "sari" (the most beautiful dresses you will ever see!!)
The white symbolizes purity and the red symbolizes fertility. They are detailed heavily with gold thread. Guests and the wedding party are expected to wear brightly colored clothing and as much gold jewelry as possible!
The groom is greeted at the ceremony with a symphony of conch shells and ringing bells~ He is given a garland by the brides mother and escorted to the "mandap". The bride is escorted by her uncle and relatives to the "mandap". The "mandap" is a four column canopy. Everyone prays to "Ganesha" (the god of all existence) to remove negative energy from the marriage.
One Indian wedding tradition involves the couple exchanging flower garlands, much like our western tradition of exchanging rings ;)
Another tradition involves the lighting of a sacred fire. Representative of knowledge and purity of the marriage. The bride's brother gives her 3 handfuls of rice to toss into the fire as a request to the deities for a blessed union.
7 steps ( Representing : nourishment, strength, prosperity, happiness, progeny, long life and friendship)
are taken together around the sacred fire, and there union is confirmed!
The groom dabbs red vermillion powder on the bride's forehead as a blessing and pledge to love her forever <3 *Squeel*
